All of us who have chosen to walk the Christian life know that just because we gave ourselves to Jesus doesn’t mean that life is going to be easy and without its challenges. As we always have to remind ourselves, we are being tested each and every day, and God is calling on us to remain faithful through the various hardships that we encounter.

So, how do we manage to find peace, strength and faith when life gets hard? Well, all that we need to do is look to God’s word. The Bible has provided us with endless sources of motivation and inspiration from which we can derive a greater sense of ourselves, our relationship with our creator and a feeling of hope that the future is in God’s hands. These are our top ten motivational/inspirational verses that are in the Bible.

Bible Verse #10: Psalm 120:1: “In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me.”

This verse is so powerful in its simplicity, don’t you think? It reminds us of a very simple truth, which is that in moments of distress, all that we need to do is call on God for help and guidance, and he will undoubtedly comfort us.

Bible Verse #9: Romans 12:2: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

This verse reminds us that if we resist the temptation to follow the secular ways of the world, that we will be rewarded.

Bible Verse #8: Jeremiah 29:11-13: “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.’”

This verse can help us a great deal in moments of distress when we feel all but abandoned by God. It reminds us that ultimately, God will reward us for our perseverance through difficult times.

Bible Verse #7: 2 Timothy 4:17: “But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it.”

This profound verse reminds us that when we align our thoughts with God, he speaks through us while giving us the strength to share His message with others. Therefore, we are never alone when we choose to follow His path for us.

Bible Verse #6: Proverbs 18:10:“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.”

This is yet another verse that’s impactful in its simplicity. Simply put, God is our strength, and so turning to Him in moments of distress will protect us.

Bible Verse #5: Philippians 4:7: “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

In moments of difficulty, this verse can remind us that peace is promised to us if we are only willing to look for it in God.

Bible Verse #4: John 16:33: “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

This verse promises us that no matter how terrifying the world may seem at times, that ultimately, God is in control. He already knows that we will experience times of difficulty, but because He is in charge, we will never experience more than we can handle.

Bible Verse #3: Isaiah 41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Here, God promises that we have no need to fear, because no matter where we go or what we do, He is always with us, providing us with strength and help.

Bible Verse #2: Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

This verse is especially useful for those moments when we struggle with faith. God reminds us that faith is simply about having confidence that our needs will be provided by Him, even though we cannot see evidence of this with our own eyes.

Bible Verse #1: Hebrews 13:5: “God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’”

This is our favorite verse in the Bible because it makes God’s message crystal clear. Never, even in our darkest moments, has God abandoned us, nor will He ever.
