The daily grind and all the fun of interactions with management, the ups & downs, stress mixed with personality conflicts. Sounds crazy right? Most of us deal with this everyday and it’s a battle of faith by the minute.

How does Jesus fit in to all this? For starters the easiest answer is “in all things”, but as we all know fully committing to bringing him into every situation is a challenge. It’s not that we don’t want to, it’s that all the other things get in the way.

Proverbs 3:6 “in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

The struggle is real and all if we let all the other “stuff” get in the way it will distract us. When these crazy hectic days come, we really need to make sure to be intentional with prayer and reading the word. Satan wants us to be too busy to devote times of reverence, learning and communication with our Lord and Savior. Don’t let him win, grab your bible app, read on your break and say a prayer. Be intentional every day and watch situations around you along with your perceptions change. God’s word works.

Even in my daily life I find this a struggle at times with work, family and serving at church. I have a little trick when I see things going full throttle and feel it’s going sideways - I simply say this verse out loud:

Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

“33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

                                                     Proverbs 3 Shirt

This is my “safe word” to help me quickly adjust my thinking to look to him and put the world in the back seat. This may work for you, if not find your key verse and create your quick “reset” to look to him and not let the world keep you too busy.
